2. Description of Service

Authoria is an AI-powered platform that allows users to create illustrated children's books with custom narration. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate story content, illustrations, and audio narration based on user prompts.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. Credits and Payment

The Service operates on a credit-based system:

  • Each page of a story costs 1 credit to generate
  • Credits can be purchased through our pricing page
  • Credits are non-refundable except in cases of service failure
  • Credits do not expire
  • If book generation fails, credits are automatically refunded

5. Content Ownership and License

Your Content: You retain ownership of the stories you create using Authoria. You are free to download, print, and share your created books.

AI-Generated Content: The illustrations and narration are generated by AI based on your prompts. While you own the final book, the underlying AI models and technology remain the property of their respective owners.

Public Books: If you choose to make your book public, you grant Authoria a non-exclusive license to display and share your book on the platform.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Create content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive
  • Violate any intellectual property rights
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Attempt to circumvent the credit system
  • Reverse engineer or exploit the Service
  • Create content that violates our community guidelines

7. Content Moderation

While our AI is designed to generate child-friendly content, we reserve the right to review and remove any content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate. We are not responsible for user-generated content but will take action when violations are reported.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and use your information as described in that policy, including your prompts, created books, and account information.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will meet your expectations. We are not responsible for the accuracy or appropriateness of AI-generated content.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Authoria shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notification.
